I got a few interesting replies to my "What do you want in an RSS Reader?" post. I'll try to comment on those soon. Either way, I'll get something out the door tomorrow, even though I've had very little time to spare over the last week.

As I mentioned in the previous post, the release will feature "Numerous, difficult to reproduce bugs". I managed to trap one today, but the first thing that comes to mind is that I have no idea how to fix this. Maybe someone can point out some fundamentals in COM eventing that I'm unaware of?

That happened immediately after I received a FeedItemCountChanged for the feed in question. I'm still running on older bits (Vista RC1) so maybe there's a fix in the IE7 RTM. But I'm running into lots of issues like this so I wouldn't count on it.

Actually there is one solution. The try/catch and repeat until success, but do I really want to go there?
