Apparently the visas are in order so it looks like we're really going to Brazil after all!! On the way there we'll be spending a day in Miami. I've watched Scarface, CSI and played GTA Vice City so clearly I know exactly what to expect.
The last few weeks have been pretty busy. Not only putting some finishing touches on our application but also dealing with the media, attending the twilight MSDN update, staying up late, getting up early, having lunch, buying coffee, and participating in mindless debates. Its hard work.
Over this time, I've also:
- Walked home from the train station (a 2 and a half hour walk) at 1 in the morning.
- Madly driven home (5pm) to pick up my passport (5:45pm) only to immediately turn around and drive out to the DHL office at the airport (6:15pm) where I discover that they can't do as they earlier said they could (6:30pm), but instead suggest that if I drive all the way to the other end of the airport (6:45pm) AAE will be able to get the paperwork on to the next flight and into Sydney before 9am the next day, and then there's only the matter of a small fee ($shock!).
- Been mis-quoted by a figure of $34,975,000 and called an Ultranerd in the Sunday Mail.
- Purchased a new camera.
- Learned that not only do I spend far too much money on junk food, but that I'm responsible for over 16% of the PLASFridge economy (more than enough to support a small country).
- Crikey!.... I even dodged a crocodile.
